Headteacher's Welcome

I am incredibly proud and privileged to be taking up the post of Headteacher at Bilton School from April 2018. I am very much looking forwards to tackling the challenges and celebrating the successes that I know will be part of Bilton’s journey to becoming an outstanding school and a key institution within the Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust.

During the weeks leading up to the Easter holidays I have been fortunate enough to spend a few days at Bilton which has given me the opportunity to meet and start to get to know a range of staff and students. This has given me a fantastic insight into some of the great academic and memorable extra-curricular activities and experiences that are happening across school which I am determined to build upon.

My vision for Bilton School is not only for students to surpass their academic targets, but to also be fair and tolerant citizens whose efforts, honesty and integrity are the values and life skills that they take onto the next phase of their education or training. I am excited to have been given the opportunity to lead a team of professionals who will ensure that the students at Bilton have fantastic educational experiences and become the best that they can be in all that they do.

I hope that our passion for our students comes through our website but if you really want to feel the ethos of the school and appreciate the journey that we are on then please come and visit us. We would love to show you around and get a feeling of what we are all about.

Headteacher diary: Day 1
Monday 17th April 2018

What a great official first day at Bilton School.

After a morning briefing to welcome new staff back on a bright and sunny Monday it was straight into the business of the new term with Year 9 internal exams in Computing and then English.

I enjoyed walking the site (managing not to get lost too many times!) and saw some great teaching and learning across a range of subjects and year groups.

It was great to talk to students at both break and lunch-time where I narrowly avoided humiliating myself by the basketball net!

A variety of meetings with staff meant a late finish to a thoroughly enjoyable day
